My name is Olivia Sheffler, class of 2022. This senior project is dedicated to helping students find their voice through the knowledge and act of voting.
VOTING MATTERS
If you are 18 you are eligible to vote!
Voting is something that tends to be taken advantage of. As people who have the ability to express their values and opinions onto how our government is run, it is the people's responsibility to take our country up on these gifted opportunities. In the 2020 election, the voter turnout was 68%; these percentages need to be greatly increased. With the help of the students, starting with Greensburg Salem High School, not only is it possible to spike the number of registered voters from the community, it is also a gateway into driving voter knowledge into upcoming voters. It is possible to make a change; this change begins with education and registration!
